Ages 6-11

Every child wants to be a confident reader-let’s help them reach that goal.

Does your child have dyslexia? Does your child need support with phonics? Reading fluently? Understanding what they read? I provide support for all reading areas using the Dyslexia Action Literacy Program (DALP) & other Orton-Gillingham materials aligned with the National Curriculum materials. I can evaluate your child’s reading skills for phonemic awareness, phonics, and reading comprehension. If requested, we can review your child’s literacy reports from their school.

Ages 12-16

Let’s help your child become the confident and competent reader that they want to be.

Does your child have dyslexia? Does your tween or teen still struggle with understanding what they read? With reading fluently? I provide support for these reading areas using the Dyslexia Action Literacy Program (DALP) motivational interviews, reading inventories, and strategies that target reading comprehension. The main emphasis is to evaluate your tween or teen at their current levels, then help them become a more independent and confident reader.

‘Seeing My Time’ - 10 week Course

For schools, small groups, or individuals.

Seeing My Time is a brain-based approach to developing the skills of planning, time-management and organisation. You and your child will improve your ability to plan ahead, meet deadlines, and organise school and work materials. It is an interactive, 10-week (more if needed) curriculum which follows a workbook created by Marydee Sklar. The workbook is designed to be visual, supporting many learning differences, including participants with dyslexia. Seeing My Time is designed to help participants understand why and how they struggle. This creates the accountability and buy-in to actually use the tools and strategies presented in the curriculum. The Seeing My Time program is intended for children age 11 through adults.

Students under age 18 must participate with at least one parent present in the sessions. Family support is very important to the success of the program.

Each participant will need to purchase their own copy of the Seeing My Time workbook for use during the course.

What Families Say

Thank you so much for helping our son find his strengths, for helping his teachers understand his unique profile, and for guiding him in building his 'toolbox' to help him find success in his school setting. It was a turning point for him to start to build a healthier self-esteem, and to believe he could learn effectively and demonstrate it to his teachers. He could articulate his strengths in reasoning skills and use this to draw conclusions and make connections that in turn helped him apply specific tools to read, write or solve number problems. I am so grateful for your kindness, patience, determination, and deep understanding of how his amazing brain works!
